AI assistants got good at reasoning about business data long before most businesses could safely give them any. Orvanta exists to close that gap — carefully, and on the customer's own hardware.
Why we started
QuickBooks Desktop was the obvious first product
Hundreds of thousands of businesses still run QuickBooks Desktop, often because it does something their industry needs that the online version does not. It has no web API, so nearly every modern integration quietly leaves it out.
That leaves finance teams doing by hand what everyone else automated years ago: exporting reports, pasting numbers, re-checking totals. Meanwhile the assistant on their desk could answer the question in a sentence — if only it could see the data.
Orvanta QBD is our answer. It uses Intuit's own integration method, runs on the machine the company file already lives on, and ships locked down so the first conversation with IT is a short one.

Four things we do not compromise on
The data stays where it is
We do not want a copy of your books, and we have not built anywhere to put one. Every Orvanta product is software you install and run yourself.
Safe by default, not by configuration
Products ship in their most restrictive state. Widening access is a deliberate act by someone with the authority to make it, not an oversight waiting to happen.
Built for the systems people actually run
Plenty of tools integrate with whatever has a modern API. The harder and more useful work is meeting businesses where they are — including on a Windows machine in the back office.
Say what it does and does not do
Our documentation lists limits as plainly as features. You should be able to tell before you install whether this will work for you.
